Wireless Elevator CCTV / Video transceiver using Infrared. (Space Optical
Transfer-Audio&Video-SOT-AV)
The Elevator industry is
expanding rapidly as building constructed today are much higher and the
traveling speed is faster using cabling for CCTV now pose many challenges
for system designer and engineer. Cable CCTV system in the elevator main
issue is video cable break due to the traveling cable belt move up and
down. When such cable break the cost to replace them is high and also the
Elevator will have to be down for a long period of time compare to a
wireless system. Wireless CCTV system that use radio frequencies
transmission system also pose challenges now, as more devices now uses
Radio Frequencies Wireless cross talk and interference. Securitex

SOT-AV was
manufactured by TOYO ELECTRIC CORPORATION.
What is SOT-AV?
SOT-AV is also known as
(Space Optical Transfer-Audio&Video unit) The system uses the Near
Infrared LED for transmitting & Photodiode for receiving. Each
set of SOT-AV consist of the Transmitter and Receiver.
The SOT-AV c/w the
following feature
Designed for specialized applications on moving elevator, etc.
Transmission ranges of 70/130/250 m with small and compact designed.
Designed for simplified installation and connection.
Wiring and other work are not necessary thanks to cable-less designed.
Range can be extended up to 450 m.
Since it is free from restrictions under laws, it is ideal also for
applications where it is difficult to wire cables crossing a public road,
for example.
Being immune to disturbance by noise, it can be used in very noisy
environment.
FM modulation by the space optical picture transmitter hardly.
CCTV signal Secured
The SOT-AV use in Elevator is also very
secured as the camera video signal cannot be transmitted out of the lift
shaft as the signal can only be transmit and receive by the SOT-AV
Projector and Receiver unit.
Application In Elevator
The SOT-AV unit is very suitable for
Elevator CCTV and Elevator Car information Display, especially for Cruise
and Commercial Ship Elevator. Oil Rigs Elevator. The reason for SOT-AV on
such elevators because there are usually huge machinery operated around
the area of such Vessel and the high
Electro-Magnetic-Frequency-Interference (E-M-F-I can cause massive
interference to a Radio Frequencies type of CCTV application)

the SOT-AV
Include wireless video and data
transmission in Airport, Seaport. Refinery, oil & gas facilities.
Pharmaceutical Plant. Correctional facilities. Military bases. Marine
Vessel. Coastal Express Way. Hospitals and Even school etc. The
advantage of the SOT-AV as compared to the Radio Frequencies type
system is that for the SOT-AV is almost not subject to external radio
frequencies interference. Especially in Refinery and Oil and Gas
facilities where some time radio frequencies system are not allow the
SOT-AV will be the solution. The Airport is another such facilities
that can use SOT-AV.
